Pumpkin Writer is a service of Funtacular LLC

This policy explains what Pumpkin Writer collects and how it is used. We collect only what we need to run the service and never sell your data.

What we collect

  • Account information: your email address and password (stored only as a secure hash).
  • Content you create: the prompts, briefs, and book material you generate or upload.
  • Usage & billing data needed to operate your account and process payments.
  • Connected publishing accounts (optional): if you use the Sales & Ads Dashboard and connect your Amazon/KDP, ACX, or Amazon Advertising accounts, we collect your publishing and advertising performance data: book sales, units, royalty estimates, Kindle Unlimited pages read (KENP), and orders; ACX audiobook units, returns, and royalties; Amazon Advertising campaign metrics (spend, sales, impressions, clicks, ACOS); and the search rankings of the titles and keywords you choose to track. This is your own business data, and connecting these accounts is entirely optional.

How we use it

We use your information to provide the service (generating, editing, and exporting your books) and to manage your account, billing, and support.

We use your connected-account data solely to display your own sales, advertising, audiobook, and keyword-ranking dashboards and analytics to you. We do not sell this data and do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the dashboard to you.

Connecting your Amazon, ACX & Advertising accounts

The Sales & Ads Dashboard is optional. When you connect your accounts, it collects the performance data above in two ways:

  • The Pumpkin Sync browser extension runs in your own browser and reads the report data Amazon and ACX return to you while you are signed in to your own account. It also records where your titles rank for keywords you choose to track. It does not collect or transmit your Amazon or ACX username or password; it sends us only the report data it reads from your already-authenticated session, to build your dashboard. You can uninstall it at any time.
  • Amazon Advertising data is retrieved through Amazon's official Advertising API after you explicitly authorize the connection. We store the access tokens Amazon issues for that purpose; we never receive or store your Amazon password.

Amazon and Audible/ACX remain the source of this data, and we access it only on your authorization and in accordance with their terms.

Service providers

To deliver the service we share limited data with trusted third-party providers strictly to perform their function on our behalf, including:

  • AI content providers: to generate and edit your book content.
  • Payment processing: to process your purchases securely.
  • Email delivery: to send account emails (verification, password reset, notices).
  • Cloud hosting and infrastructure: to run the application and store your data.
  • Product analytics: anonymous, cookieless usage statistics to improve the service.
  • Amazon & Audible/ACX: the source of the publishing and advertising data you choose to connect; accessed only with your authorization.

We share with each provider only the data it needs to perform its function for us.

AI model training

We do not train AI models on your content. Your writing, briefs, and book material are sent to AI providers for one reason only: to generate and edit your book at your request. These providers may keep temporary copies of the content they handle for us, for technical reasons such as delivering results, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention. Their published policies state that these copies are automatically deleted after a limited period. We never sell your content, and we never provide it to anyone for advertising or model-training purposes.

Cookies and local storage

We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in to your account; it is set when you log in and removed when you sign out. If you connect your Amazon Ads account, a second temporary cookie is used briefly to complete that connection securely. Your browser also stores a few preferences locally on your device (such as your light/dark theme choice). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and our product analytics are anonymous and cookieless. Payments are processed on Stripe’s own website under Stripe’s privacy policy. Because we only use cookies that are strictly necessary to provide the service, no cookie consent banner is required.

Retention & your choices

We keep your content while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated content at any time by contacting us.

You can disconnect at any time: revoke the Amazon Advertising authorization and/or uninstall the Pumpkin Sync extension. On disconnection, or on request, we delete the sales, advertising, audiobook, and keyword data associated with that connection. Disconnecting the dashboard does not affect your books or account.
